Well even though Derick didn't win the Ward Pine Wood Derby, He and Erick wanted to go to the Regional Races.
So we got an email late the night before the race. They had done NOTHING to Dericks car since the Ward Races. It has just been sitting on the shelf. So we loaded up the next morning early as a family and headed to Casa Grande.
This is pretty much how the races went!! Derick's car is the blue and orange one.
His friend Nick Urich came too!! Both the boys did great! Nick took second place and Derick took first overall!
Derick was SO VERY excited! It was a good lesson that if you follow all the rules it will pay off in the end.
