A couple of weeks ago it was our Stake Humanitarian Day. Our Ward was asked to cut wooden blocks, sand them and dip them in oil. These are to be given to children in 3rd World Countries who don't have toy's to play with. As I was explaining this to my kids I told them to pick their favorite toy and imagine how excited they were when they got it. That this is the same feeling these children will get when they receive these blocks. They were very confused at the thought of being so thrilled over wooden blocks. They were eager to help, to serve. It made my heart soar. I am thankful for the opportunity to teach my kids about Service. I am thankful they have tender hearts. They were so excited to work on these and wished they could see the children that received them. They also walked around the Church house and watched as other Wards worked on things like quilts, receiving blankets, cloths, headbands and many other things for Humanitarian Aid.
Some of the people helping that day.
Some seriously CUTE kids!! Working hard for other CUTE kids!!
