Derick got to attend Boy Scouts Day Camp this year for the first time. He was SOOOO EXCITED. Especially since Erick got to go with him all 3 days. It was SUPER HOT and the entire activity was outdoors. Thankfully they had plenty of water all over. They had such a good time together. Day Camp was Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday was Fathers Day. On Saturday night when it was all over and the guys had showered and Erick was putting Derick to bed at 11:30pm Derick is a sweet sleepy voice said to Erick. "Dad, you are so lucky. You get to have 4 great days in a row. Day Camp for 3 days and then Fathers Day." That made every hot, sweaty, LONG moment of those 3 days worth it for Erick. He is the greatest Dad. He had so much fun with Derick.
Derick's all time favorite part was shooting the bow. He got a bulls eye on his first shot on the second day. Even Erick got to shoot. Derick want's a Bow Range at the house now.
They swam and made lot's of cool crafts.
Derick made some new friends.
In the end, Derick was dubbed a Knight of the Pueblo!!
We are loving the Scouting Program. It offers so much for young Boy's. I am thankful that Erick's Mom was so involved in Scouting and kept Erick involved. He has a Sure Testimony of the Program and the good it offer's.

My son LOVES scout camp. This year was his last year, and he was bummed.
