Our Garden...

This year we decided to take part in our Community Garden.  However, we are new at this whole Garden thing and NOT very educated.  Erick called me and told me to go get some seeds so I ran to Home Depot and trusted the 17yr old helper that HE knew what he was talking about and not just handing me packets of seeds as it seemed.  So we headed out to our plot and weeded it and planted to our hearts content.  We all had so much fun and were so excited to see what would come.  As we learned later when doing a little research of our own...most of the things we planted were Winter Grows.  I should have known that the reason there were TONS of Butternut Squash packets was because all the yellow squash packets were sold out.  Well, we went and weeded that garden anyways. Faithfully every Monday for FHE.  The mosquitos got pretty bad so Erick took over the weeding for a while.  The kids were very anxious to get back and see what had become of our garden and these are a few pictures of our crops!
Here are some pictures of everyone gathering the crops!  I MUST give credit where credit is DUE...Majority of the good stuff we got, we got from the Bakers!  Andy was very generous with their goods.  Thanks!!  The Bakers really know how to do it right!
My beautiful girls!!!
There ya have it!!!  Better luck next year right?
