On Children...

So today I was talking to my older brother C.C.
He is living in California doing Stand Up Comedy and although I wish he were closer to us I know that he is in his element!  He has to be one of the funniest people I have EVER known.  Most anyone who has met him will agree, I am sure!  So we were talking today about my kids and all their different personalities. I was telling him how Derick is just GOOD to the core.  He is a natural leader, and kind and funny and charming.  Claira, is beautiful and kind.  She is a peace maker and wants everyone to be happy.  She is the first to come to give aid if someone gets hurt or is sad.  However, if you tick this little darling off....Let me just say...I feel sorry for you!  Kash Man...this little beautiful  angel faced little boy is going to give us a run for our money!  He is so cute I think it may just be his downfall! :)  Kash is funny and everyone that meets him is touched.  Our little Paizly Rose is a funny little prissy thing.  She hold's my heart in her every little hug and smile.  I am loving watching her grow into who she will be.  SOoooo we were talking about how these kids come as who they are.  Each of my children is SO different from the other yet they came from the same parents and home.  They are perfect and unique and just simply...who they are and I so deeply love each of them for exactly that.  C.C. told me about a poem that he really loves that he thought of as we were talking.  I looked it up and thought I would share it...
Thanks for the long talk today C.C.  I love you! I love that you are my big brother.  I love that we are so different and yet we came from the same place as well.  You are a beautiful part of my life.  I can't wait to see you soon!

On Children
 Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
