Roosevelt Lake!!

So many of my childhood memories are at this very lake! We spent nearly every weekend every summer at the lake sometimes for weeks at the time. It was SO MUCH FUN!! Odd as it is, I have never taken my kids to the lake, I am a little paranoid and just have thought they were too young. This Summer, my Parents and Sister have gone many times with her kids and they have had a blast so we decided it was time to give it a go...AND it was a BLAST!!! I am sad I waited so long to take them. I didn't realize how much I had missed the lake until I was back on it. I could spend hours just riding around on a boat. My cousins Aaron and April and their two kids came with their little boat and Chloe' and her kids and Our family. My poor Momma had just been to the lake the weekend before and sunburnt her lips and she still had blisters...just in case you were wondering why we let her put zinc practically all over her face!! Claira and Lexi braved the tube. Claria was not too fond of it. I think she prefers swimming and riding in the boat rather than tubing!
Erick and I took a load of kiddos to the shore to swim with April and then we went on a little boat ride to find my parents and the rest of the gang. Well....we stopped and could not get the motor going again. So I had to spray this starter fluid on the motor. Well, I could not get the cap back on and rahter than help, Erick sits and poses for pictures that my sister is snapping without me knowing. There are a few more, where my lower region is the center of the shot and Erick is giving a thumbs up!! During this flattering photo session, I am griping at Erick to help me and he just keeps smiling and laughing that my booty is being caught on film!! What a NUT!

Derick was ALL ABOUT the tube and anything we would let him do. He wanted to ski but we didn't have kids ski's. NEXT TIME BUBBA!
Hayden, Derick, Bodie and Lexie in the background having so much fun swimming.Claira Joe and Daddy enjoying the ride!!
I have not water skiied in over 7 years. So I wanted to try, I told Erick to have that camera ready because IF I got up I did not know how long I would stay up and I wanted documentation that I in FACT did it!! Well, I got right up and skiied away! I LOVE to Ski and can't wait to go again hopefully SOON!!

All in all we had a PERFECT lake day. The weather was great. The kids had a BLAST! Noone got hurt and we were with FAMILY. To me there is not a better way to spend the day. Erick is itching for a boat now!! Some day....Some Day!

Homework Stations...

This year, I was dreading homework time with two kids in full time school and one in Pre-School. Last year was hard enough trying to keep just Derick from being distracted. So when I saw this idea on someone elses blog I thought I would give it a try. I wanted to try it out for a couple weeks before posting just in case it didn't work out BUT IT HAS!! They were super easy to make and the kids LOVE them. They feel like they have their own little work stations. I got them each a folder that they put their homework packet they get on Monday in and they keep them clipped in the center. Each station is complete with scissors, pencil and sharpener, crayons, ruler, glue stick and pink eraser. Everything they should need to complete their homework. So everyday right before I leave to pick them up, I set these up at the table with a snack and as soon as the kids get home they go right to the table and get their homework done. It has seriously made homework as pleasant as homework can be!! I don't know where Derick's picture is with his station...bummer!

Kash is 4!!!

We have been waiting for this day for quite a few weeks/months around our house. Kash almost DAILY asked me "Mommy, is I'm 4 yet?" So when the day finally came, I was SO excited to tell him YES my Kashie you are 4 NOW!! Over the few weeks prior to his birthday I would ask him what kind of party he wanted. He changed his mind quite a bit. From...cowboy to Rocket ship to Mickey Mouse??? Finally he decided SUPER HERO. SO when I asked him what super hero that really stumped him. He like most little boy's likes Spider Man and Super Man and any other super strong, fast, magical fictional character. Well....he just could not decide and we have a book called CTR Boy. It talks about a little boy that becomes basically his own kind of Super Hero by choosing the right. So I took it one step further and told Kash that we could have a CTR Boy Party and Save the day by Choosing the Right and HE LOVED IT!! I had planned to make these super cute capes, but in true Molly fashion I panic'ed at the thought of making them so I hired a friend!! They turned out awesome and when I brought them out at the party they were a HUGE HIT!! And still are in our house!

Here is my Sweet Kash at age 1. I SO love that face!! He is such a sweet boy. Everone that sees him tells me how beautiful he is. I am not sure he will appreciate that when he is older but he is so beautiful to me!

These pregnancy pictures were taken 4 days before I had Kash. My friend Jenny took them. She does THE MOST AMAZING photography. I had never before or since done a pregnancy shoot with any of my other kids, so I treasure these pictures. I love being pregnant, I love knowing my sweet baby is there and feeling them is indescribable. I also look at these pictures and think HOLY COW Claira is a baby!! What were we thinking??? OHHHHH that's right...we weren't!!!
On Kash's actual birthday Judy came over and made homemade spaghetti for us. It was such a nice treat and the kids were lovin the dinner!! Derick's friend Jacob was over to swim and hang out with us. We all love Judy and are thankful she is part of our family!

THE BIRTHDAY BOY!!! HAPPY TO BE 4!

Of course these pictures are all jumbled up because I am not smart enough to figure out how to upload them in order!! These last two are at the hospital. Again my amazing friend came to the hospital literally moments after he was born to take some beautiful photos of our sweet baby boy. He was our smallest baby weighing 8'7. He was beautiful and perfect and precious from the moment he entered this world. I am so thankful I am his Momma. I adore this little boy, his sweet silly little voice. His contagious laugh. His witty little sense of humor. Everything about him is amazing to me. Happy Birthday Kash, We LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!
