Life on the FARM!!!

This is Aces the newest member of the F&A Farm!! The guys are now buying goats and sheep for some of their Contracts and every few days it seems one has a baby or two!! This little girl's Momma did not take to her so she has to be bottle fed 4 times a day!!
We spent this Sunday evening at Uncle Chris and Auntie Ashley's house feeding the baby animals and playing in the backyard. It was a super fun family night. Derick climbed to the top of their swingset playhouse!!

Kashie visiting Aces!
We also have two baby cows that have to be bottle fed 2 times a day. The first day was quite a treat as Ashely and myself did it with 2 9oz water bottles and a goats bottle nipple! They get 32oz. a feeding. I had flip flops on and Ash had her NEW sneakers on. I about got my foot broke and her shoes are now good farming shoes!! The babies thought we were their Mommies and would not get off of us. They were looking for milk in ALL THE WRONG PLACES!!! We were laughing so hard we could hardly handle the task at hand! (Erick and Chris were out of town) so the chores were up to us!! We also had to get 3 goats heads/horns unstuck from the fence! If only someone would have been filming us we could quite possibly be rich!!!
Here are the boy's playing with the cows!

They are so sweet and the kids love being in with them. In fact Blayne pretty much found his new best buddy!!
Derick got to do their evening feeding. What a good little Cowboy!
And little Miss Kenzie just looked so darling on the fence I had to take her picture!!

Last Day of Spring Break!!

The kids have been begging to have a water balloon fight so today after church it was on!!! Here is Derick getting Kash!!
This was right before the war!! Everyone is at peace!! I had them line up and run across the yard to the pool of balloons!! This is at GO!!!

Kash is getting Bubba!!

Claira was trying to get Derick but if you look close you can see it was a clear miss!! SHOCKING!! She did get him eventually!

It was such a fun afternoon as a family. Today is one of the reasons I LOVE Arizona! It was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!! School starts tomorrow and I am very sad about it. I will miss Derick being around. He is such a good boy and a joy to have around all the time. I wish school was 1 week on 1 week off! That would be the perfect schedule for me!

The ZOO...

Let me start by saying....I SERIOUSLY can't STAND going to the freakin ZOO!!!
BUT!! We had family in town and this was one of the things they wanted to do and my children LOVE going so being the nice Mother that I am!!! I reluctantly went. The company was great! I loved visiting with my Uncle Brad and Aunt Shauna and their kids. The weather was PERFECT 77 I think! The ZOO was well....the same dang thing I have seen over and over and over agian!! Oh well....I need to just get over it! I am sure I am griping in this picture just as I am now!! :)
This is Paizly's new "stink eye" face! She gives it quite often to strangers or siblings that may not know about HER personal space!! This was after a LONG day at the Zoo.

This is the only picture I have of all the kids :( I can't believe I did not do better with the cousins shot! But here we are checking out some sleeping animal I am sure that is probably 4 miles away hiding behind a rock or a tree of somesort!

It was my cousin Kenzie's 19th birthday so I attempted to make a purse cake! It turned out pretty cute. It looked better from far away...as do most of us!! :)

The highlight of the Zoo for all of us was the Camel Ride!! $15 and 45 seconds later is was OVER! BUT for those smiles it was WELL WORTH IT!!!
We had so much fun with the Thorpes!! I was so sad to see them leave. Once a year is just not near enough! We hope to visit them this Summer! Thanks for making Spring Break so fun this year! We love you guys!!

Valentines!!

This picture of Kash and Lane was supposed to be by the bench photo!! Oh well....Anyways, Kash helped Erick all day making the bench for me and helped stain it as well. He ended up with a little bit of black stain in his hair and I thought it was so cute because Lane has a little black spot on his side that he was born with! Kash thought that was pretty cool to be like Lane too so we had to get a shot of them together with their spots. I think it is so cute that their hair is almost the same color!!
So OF COURSE these are backwards!! We were all in having our breakfast and Paizly went missing so Erick looked in the backyard and this is what he found!! She loves Lane and often I find her just out sitting with him where ever he is. This time he just happens to be on the kids little table!

Our kitchen table has sadly been losing chairs rapidly! Each time Erick says don't worry I will just make a bench! This started about a year ago! He finally did it! What an awesome bench too! I was so proud of him, and the kids LOVE it!!

These are the flowers that the kids picked out for me. Derick got me the White Tulips, Claira got me the Red ones and Kash got me the Red Carnations. I LOVE them. They were all so proud of them, and they really lived for a long time. I am so thankful for my kiddos and I know some people think Valentines should not be the only day to show love but I actually LOVE Valentines Day, it is a special day or Month at our house, for you to sort of emphasize the love you have for oneanother. I am all for that!

We actually had some special visitors this Feb. The "Love Bugs" came to visit our home. One morning we heard a little sound and found a note from two little Love Bugs named Skizzle and Hearts along with a little treat. They told the kids that if they would show love and obey their parents they would continue to bring treats and goodies for the kids. They also wanted the kids to write to them and ask them questions about their lives. We found out where they live and what they eat. We learned about their family that is still in Love Bug Land. It was a lot of fun and the kids felt extra love all month long. Not to mention how good they were in hopes of a letter from their new friends! We can't wait for them to come back next year! These sucker lips were one of the kids favorite treats they brought them.

Valentines morning I made Pink pancakes. Mickey Mouse OF COURSE!! They were a big hit along with the pink milk! We also "heart attacked" the kids rooms and the hallways upstairs for the kids. I forgot to get pictures of that but the kids loved waking up to glittery hearts EVERYWHERE!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day! I know that I felt very loved from my kids and my wonderful Husband. We have such a treasure within the walls of our home and I am forever greatful for that.
