9 Years!!!

On March 24th 2010, Erick and I celebrated our 9th Wedding Anniversary!  He is such a hard person to shop for as his hobbies consist of work, work and more work! One thing Erick does love doing it yard work. He loves trimming the trees (at least that's what he call's it) He has been dying for a chain saw but just never splurges on himself. SOOOO I took this as the perfect opportunity to get him one.  I usually screw up his gifts....like get the wrong size or wrong brand or a coal smoker rather than a Propane one.  Things like that.  Well, I had heard him talk to his friends about the Chain Saw he wanted so I took note and I think by his face in this photo....I DID GOOD!

So after I gave him his gift we headed to town for our weekend away.  Thanks to Brandy and Ash for keeping our kiddos we had Friday - Sunday to ourselves!  We headed to the Mall to see a Show and then headed to our Hotel.  Heres the thing about the Hotel.  I had planned for us to head up North for a weekend of Skiing and fun in the mountains.  However, I hurt my back somehow and I had to cancel that trip.  The WWE Wrestling Mania stuff was in town and it was also Spring Training.  So Hotel Choices were slim!!  My friend helped me out and gave me like 10 choices and I chose the Clarindon.  The pictures looked great.  Although they were only photos of the pool and the rooftop club.  It looked super nice.  When we turned the corner we saw this.....

This is the Hotel.  3 1/2 Stars....that's almost 4 Right?  NOPE!!!! FAR FROM IT!  A VERY loooonnng story short...our lack of sleep was the absolute WORST night ever!  We woke up with horrible headaches.  We went to breakfast to see if that would help.  It didn't! NOT AT ALL!  So we went back to talk to a Manager and there was another Lady complaining about the same things!!  They reimbursed our money from the night before and let us out of our agreement to stay that night.  I really appreciate the way they handled that.  So we thought about going to another Hotel, we looked a few up online and eventually decided on this one....

HOME!!!!  We headed home and slept the day away! Not what we had planned unfortunately but it was what we needed FOR SURE! We were EXHAUSTED and felt 100% better after our "nap"  We then headed out for a big family dinner and to do some shopping with the money we saved from the Hotel.
We also went to a comedy club in Scottsdale to see an old friend of ours do a show.  Here we are after the Show with Scott.  He was super funny.  What is even funnier, is he is kneeling on a barstool in this photo. Love ya Scott!! It was so good to see you!

We also enjoyed a yummy dinner at PF Changs.  Sunday Morning we had some breakfast and headed to Scottsdale to visit Big Gramma and then went to relieve Ash and Brandy of their duties with our kiddos. It was so good to have them back.  We really enjoyed our weekend "away" and had a lot of fun just being with each other.  I love that we can have so much fun just hanging out at home.  Erick was really funny about being home. He kept saying thing's like..."Man, this hotel is so nice!  The water pressure in the shower is great! It has all the ammenities of home"  It was sweet because he knew I felt bad about the Hotel mess up!  Erick is such a wonderful Hubby to me.  I love him dearly.  I love that he call's me Sweetheart and that he still laughs at me all the time.  I truly feel like he is still my "boyfriend" and I like that!  Here's to the rest of Eternity my Love!!
