Strange....

It is the Tuesday before Christmas.  Not just any Christmas, as we are having the Farabee Family party at Casa De La Farabee!!  I am sick as I think possible with a terrible head cold.  My kids are downstairs making mess on top of mess ontop of MESS!!  I just started my first load of laundry that should have all been done yesterday.  The productive hours of this day are dwindling away as I sit here and type.  I really should get a move on, but my head is killing me so I thought why not blog?????
I don't send out Christmas cards, I don't think I ever have.  I ususally send Valentines. Sometimes I wish I would have just went with the norm and done Christmas Cards because I am so fond of this Season.  I love the smells, the Spirit that I feel. I love shopping for others as if I have no budget!! (even though I do!!  A rather stiff one I might add)  I love teaching my children about the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and seeing their eyes light up at the majesty of that Miracle!  I love that my Hubby gets a couple day's off of work and prefers spending them with me and the kids even though I may be a bit of a grinch as the stress of all that comes with this Holiday begins to weigh on my shoulders.  It is so funny to me as I get older the things that are important to me now, meant nothing more than a thought in the past.  Tradition, is something I want so bad for my kids.  I want them to have wonderful memories of their childhood.  Not thought's of Momma screaming and loosing it every time they are a bit out of line.  I want our children to want to be around eachother when they are grown. I want them to be as good of friends then as they are now.  I want my kids to put a peppermint cane and coconut under their Christmas tree just as I do because I saw my Mammaw do it. I don't even know why...but I always remember it was there in her home and in ours growing up.  My goodness talk about wanting a lot huh?  Well, right at this very moment, I want my head to stop hurting and my nose to heal from wiping it 9million times.  I want my laundry to be done and my floors mopped. I want the grocery shoppind for Thursday to be complete and everything neatly organized!  I want my bedroom to be cleaned and all the bathrooms scrubbed for company.  I want the toyroom  to be de-junked and all the "junk" taken to goodwill.  More than anything......I WANT ANOTHER DR. PEPPER so that I can get all this done!!! :)

Paizly turns 2!!!

Our sweet baby Paizly Rose is 2 and I can NOT BELIEVE IT!!! These first pictures of her are when she was 3 days old. She was so chubby and pink and precious. She still is precious and perfect in every way!!! We have so much fun with her. She is the light of our family. She is talking so much now and growing so fast. I love that she still let's me rock her to sleep everyday for her naps. It makes my day!! She loves to sing "twinkle star" and "God" ( I am a Child of God) She is a pure joy and We cherish EVERY single second with this precious, silly, cute, sweet little girl that we get to call ours!!

We actually had a tripple birthday party at Ashley's house this year for Paiz and Blayne who share a birthday and Kenzie who is just near them. However, Ash took all the pictures and I don't have the disc yet. Aunite Ashley made the cutest donut cakes and they had a blast. We wanted to do a little something for Paiz ON her birthday so Kash and I made HOMEMADE cupcakes AND icing! Let me just tell you.....THEY WERE SOOOOOO GOOD!!! I don't think I will do a box mix ever again!! We even made them rainbow!! It was so fun to be in the kitchen with Kash. He was a great helper and he even did the dishes!!! He was so proud of the final result...I have to admit I was too!! They were COOL!!!

Happy Birthday Paizly Rose!!! WE LOVE YOU MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW!!!
The icing didn't set up as well as I had hoped but I tried it 3 times. This was the last batch. I was running out if ingredients as I was trying to perfect this recipe. It tasted fabulous inspite of it being a little on the runny side!!!
Here is the inside!! SO FUN!!! This was a little work to accomplish but well worth it when the kids bit into them and were so excited for the rainbow!!

October in a Post (nutshell) Backwards (of Course!)

The walk for a CURE!! This is a picture of the ENTIRE Farabee Family. We went out and walked to support our Mom, Barb who is a SURVIVOR in every form of the word! We are proud of you, we support you and we LOVE you Mom for everything you endure for yourself and our family!! It was a really fun day filled with family! Halloween!! The girls and I dressed up as "fancy clowns" My friend Amy made them. She has an awesome website with super cute gifts for babies and kids. The blog is babiesnbags.blogspot.com Check it out if you are looking for a cute gift! Derick is Snake Eyes and Kash is a Transformer. Sarah our sweet little neighbor is a vampire!!

Paizly LOVED getting her make-up on and her skirt on. She was darling!!!Claira.....NOT SO MUCH! She was not at all loving the costume. I sort of tricked her into wearing it and I promised that from here on out she gets to pick her own Halloween Costume. She is really such a little "Tom Boy" and has NO INTEREST in make-up or fancy clowns!!! This was the closest thing I could get to a smile. She was fighting the tears!! Once we got going, she was a great sport about her costume!

Kash after we carved pumpkins! Such a little cutie!!Derick lost ANOTHER tooth!! Here are our pumpkins after all the hard work!! I have to say, Pumpkin carving is NOT my favorite thing!!! ;/

The kids keep seeing people on skate boards being pulled by their dogs in our neighborhood and they have been wanting to try it. Well, Lane is just not that excited about the idea. However, IF Kash runs infront of him with a dog biscuit, Derick gets a fun ride!!

Ashley and I decided about a day before Fall Break that we were going to put our Sea World Season Passes to good use and we talked Barb into joining us!! We spent a quick 3 days in SanDiego and had a blast!! I didn't take a ton of picutres because we were just there, now I am kicking myself and wish I would have. lesson learned!!
The Farabee kids!
Claira wrote her name in the sand....so cute!

Paizly and Blayne had SO much fun at the beach. They are such good buddies. I love watching them play.
Batman....I mean Kash!!!

Kenzie and Grandma. Kenzie also just had a birthday. She wanted a Hello Kitty cake. I have never used Fondant but decided it was time I try it out. It turned out super cute!!! She loved it!!
Derick's first tooth lost!! He looked like such a hillbilly!! It was awesome. This picture does it NO justice!!
We planted a BEAUTIFUL flower garden in the backyard. I love flowers and planting them is so much fun too. We spent a beautiful October Saturday in the yard as a family. No better place or time in my book!!

The Fruits (& Veggie's) of my Labor!

Some friends and myself decided it was high time we domesticate ourselves! Someone (not sure who0 got the great idea to try canning. So we got together and first we did Pears. They were A LOT of work however, they are SO yummy and it was a really fun day with good friends. Then, I think the same "someone" who thought pears would be fun, got word of peaches on sale! So Peaches it was. We enlisted the help of a couple more capable hands and had beautiful jars of peaches by the end of a another VERY long, labor intensive day. Once again, they are delish!!! Then I figured why not freeze some fresh corn. So I enlisted the help of my number one little girl and we shucked, blanched, sliced, packaged, and sucked the air out of a bunch of corn. It was a really fun afternoon with my little Claira Joe and the corn tastes so good. I really enjoy canning and allthough it does take a lot of time and work and is really not the less expensive route, I feel it is all worth it! The produce does taste SO MUCH BETTER!

Family, Camping and GREAT Friends!

So Erick and I decided to take the kids on a trip up to the mountains for a little getaway. We packed up and headed up to the White Mountains. Of course these picture are all out of order because for the life of me I can't figure out how to get them right!!! We spent 3 days at Khols Ranch, Craw fishing, playing in the creek and chasing squirrls. It was SO MUCH FUN!! Then we headed up a little further North to ShowLow to see two of our dearest friends, the Beckmans and the Callister Family. We got to go to a birthday party for Uncle Mike. (Virgina's Uncle) It was such a beautiful day, and the kids got to pick pumpkins from the garden, go horse back riding, canoeing and be free to explore their "wonderland" of a property! Virginia picked Paiz and Olivia Cattails and told them they were hotdogs...Paiz could not figure out why they did not taste like a hotdog! Claira, loved picking wild flowers. Erick and I enjoyed the great company but most of all watching the kids roam free in beautiful country! We would move there in a moment's notice if we could figure out how to make a living there. Maybe some day!!!

Me and Amy Jo. It was so fun to see Amy and Brandon and their kiddos even if it was a short visit! I love you guys!

Derick and one of his very best buddies Gavin. They REALLY miss eachother! Me and My girls at the Creek...
